It allows you to keep your lead guitar tone clean and precise by quickly and efficiently muting any open strings. It is useful for any playing technique or style and is especially handy when using 2HT, two-handed tapping, where the right hand is playing on the fretboard and can’t mute open strings effectively.

  How to use the String Muter?
  
  1. Open the strips from the top of the String Muter.
  2. Place the String Muter’s body on the first two frets of the guitar.
  3. Wrap the strips around the neck and tighten them back to the body on the front.
  4. Pluck all strings. They should dampen quickly and quietly and stop resonating.
  5. If some strings keep vibrating, slightly adjust the String Muter’s position, tighten or loosen the strips until all open strings are muted. ... more
